Xavier Worthy of the Kansas City Chiefs was arrested on Friday night in Williamson County, Texas.
According to Adam Teicher of ESPN, the soon-to-be second-year wide receiver out of Texas had been arrested on a charge with “assault of a family or house member and impeding the breathing or circulation.”
Worthy was booked on Friday night by the Williamson Sheriff’s Office.
In a later update, Worthy will not be charged, according to the Austin American-Statesman on Saturday.
The Chiefs are aware of the arrest but haven’t made a statement yet. The NFL is aware of Worthy’s arrest and has reached out to the Chiefs, according to NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero.
