Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua took a swipe at the officiating crew following his team’s tough loss to the Seattle Seahawks on Thursday night, but he quickly thought better of it.

During a live stream with internet personality Adin Ross earlier this week, Nacua made some serious allegations about NFL officials. The 24-year-old wideout stunned fans when he suggested that NFL referees enjoy being in the spotlight and probably brag to their friends about making incorrect calls.

There has been speculation that the NFL could fine Nacua over the remarks, and that seems more likely to happen in the wake of a social media post he made after the Seahawks beat the Rams 38-37 on “Thursday Night Football.”

Puka Nacua doubles down on his criticism of NFL refs

In a post on X, Nacua referenced his own remarks about NFL officials botching calls and soaking up the limelight.

“Can you say I (sic) was wrong. Appreciate you stripes for your contribution. Lol,” Nacua wrote.

Nacua quickly deleted the post, but not before it was screenshotted by several people.
