To keep one of their key pieces around beyond the 2026 season, the New York Jets agreed to a new three-year deal with running back Breece Hall.
First reported by NFL Network’s Ian Rapoport, the contract is reportedly worth up to $47.75 million and for $15.25 million per year.
And after trading away multiple former top picks last season, signaling a new era and another rebuild for the franchise, the Jets have drawn the line with Hall, deciding to lock him down instead of allowing him to stay on the franchise tag for one year.
“Cried for the first time since I tore my ACL. This day really hit different for me man,” wrote Hall on social media.
Breece Hall is coming off his best NFL season yet
The decision to retain Hall, 24, in the fold provides New York with a stable ground game. Hall, who still has tons of upside and has yet to hit his prime, is coming off his best NFL season to date. He surpassed 1,000 yards for the first time as a pro, racking up 1,065.
