UNC football coach Bill Belichick is continuing to criticize CBS News for their portrayal of an interview involving his girlfriend Jordon Hudson in April 2025.
Belichick was asked about that interview around the 56:50 of his appearance on Tuesday’s episode of Hang Out with Sean Hannity.
“I thought that the interview I had with them was done very deceptively,” Belichick said. “I’ve asked for the transcript from them, and they won’t give it to me. They’ve done that with others. I’m not really sure what that policy is.
“Kind of confused with some of the things that they say they are, but I don’t really see them living up to the trust that they talk about.”
Belichick appeared on CBS Mornings in April 2025 to promote a book he had written. A clip from the interview with Tony Dokoupil went viral after it appeared to show Hudson cutting off a question about how Belichick met her.
Dokoupil also said in a voiceover added to the clip that Hudson had been a “constant presence” during the interview.
Belichick later said in a statement the network had not honored a stated desire to talk only about his book, and that the clip had been “selectively edited” to “suggest a false narrative.”
CBS News said in a response the network had agreed to “a wide-ranging interview” with “no preconditions or limitations to this conversation.”
Belichick is heading into his second season as head coach at UNC, where the Tar Heels are looking to bounce back with new players and coordinators after a 4-8 finish to the 2025 season.
