Golden Tempo will attempt to land his second Triple Crown win of 2026 at the Belmont Stakes.

The Kentucky Derby winner skipped out on the Preakness Stakes to recover for the Belmont.

Saturday’s race at Saratoga Race Course is expected to have a much stronger field than the one we saw at the Preakness three weeks ago.

The post positions and field for the Belmont Stakes will be revealed on Monday at 5 p.m. ET.

The Belmont Stakes is a replica of the Kentucky Derby when it comes to the strength of the field.

Golden Tempo is the headliner because of his Kentucky Derby victory.

Renegade, Commandment, Chief Wallabee and Emerging Market, all whom closed below 15-1 odds for the Derby, are slated to be in the Belmont field as well.

Over half the field should have low odds to win on Saturday, so that makes the case even worse for any potential long-shot winners.

Golden Tempo won the Derby as a long-shot, as did Napoleon Solo at the Preakness, but the top-end strength of the Belmont field makes it more likely a notable horse crosses the finish line first.
