The Bears have still never had a quarterback with 4,000 passing yards in a single season. They also have had only one quarterback with multiple passing touchdowns in eight straight games.
By Sunday evening, they could have two.
Via NBC Sports research, Caleb Williams is one game from tying Sid Luckman for the franchise record with eight straight games with two or more touchdown passes.
Williams has accomplished that feat in seven straight games, including the 2025 postseason. It’s another example of the team’s traditionally anemic offense giving way to an era of significant production on that side of the ball, particularly in the passing game.
Last year, Williams finished the season with 3,942 passing yards. It was enough to break Erik Kramer’s 30-year-old record. It seems inevitable that Williams will get to 4,000 yards — possibly as soon as this year.
