Jaxson Dart had a more than respectable rookie season with the New York Giants, especially considering that he wasn’t surrounded with the most elite offense.
Dart finished his 2025-26 rookie season notching 2,272 yards, 15 touchdowns and five interceptions, garnering 67.9 overall for his PFF grade. Those are very encouraging figures, making him a real prospect to become a breakout quarterback this year. That’s especially because he’s training under veteran head coach John Harbaugh, formerly of the Baltimore Ravens. There’s a new sheriff in town, and he’s going to make sure Dart gets out clean.
Now, Dart can celebrate that he’s getting to work with one of his best Giants targets again.
Jaxson Dart gets to throw to a former star receiver with Giants
Bradley Locker of PFF points out in a feature out Friday that Dart is getting back Giants wide receiver Odell Beckham Jr. This is a complicated one.
“After being released by the Dolphins during the 2024 campaign and being suspended for six games due to a performance-enhancing drug violation last year,” Locker writes of Beckham, “he’s now back with the Giants on a one-year pact.”
Locker notes that even though Beckham’s last two seasons with the Dolphins were “forgettable,” the player could really shine this season. Why? Because of Harbaugh.
“The former star was a reliable contributor for John Harbaugh’s Ravens in 2023 with a 77.0 receiving mark and 2.5% drop rate,” he notes.
Remember, too, that wide receiver Malik Nabers is still recovering from an ACL and meniscus tear. So, this is Beckham’s moment to step up and show what he can do.
