Justin Herbert has struggled for the Los Angeles Chargers. There’s no doubt about it.
The Chargers started the 2026 NFL season as seemingly everyone’s favorite dark-horse candidate to win the Super Bowl.
They’re now 0-3 after losing to the Arizona Cardinals, Las Vegas Raiders, and Buffalo Bills.
Bringing in Mike McDaniel, a well-known offensive mind and the former head coach of the Miami Dolphins, was supposed to ignite Herbert and the Chargers’ offense.
Instead, Herbert has looked terrible, and especially so against the Bills.
He completed just 20-of-34 passes for 226 yards, one touchdown and one interception. He should have thrown two more interceptions, but the Bills had a case of “the drops” on defense.
The interception he did throw was into double coverage and right to safety C.J. Gardner-Johnson.
