On the heels of not showing up to Fenway Park for Monday’s game against the Boston Red Sox and subsequently being placed on the injured list, Ketel Marte became a topic of conversation again on Friday night when he was spotted at a casino while the Arizona Diamondbacks were playing.
After a 9-0 win over the Cincinnati Reds, Diamondbacks manager Torey Lovullo told reporters he wasn’t aware of Marte’s whereabouts, then explained that he was “free to do whatever he wants” as long as he is doing the required rehab work while on the IL.
Videos and images were posted on social media showing Marte at Talking Stick Resort in Scottsdale.
