The Los Angeles Rams entered the 2026-27 NFL season as the favorites to win the Super Bowl.
Injuries have led to poor play, which has resulted in the Rams entering Week 9 with a record of 4-4 and outside the playoff picture. In need of a victory against a depleted Washington Commanders team, Los Angeles got monster performances from two of its biggest superstars in a 20-13 win.
Myles Garrett, Puka Nacua showed up when they were needed
Superstar defensive lineman Myles Garrett made his return to the field for the first time since Week 1, and he was exactly as advertised when Los Angeles made the trade for him.
Garrett had three tackles, three sacks and a forced fumble. It was Garrett’s first game with three sacks since November of last season, and he made his impact felt throughout the afternoon.
Switching over to the offensive side of the ball, it was superstar Puka Nacua who continued his outstanding work. Nacua hauled in 14 catches for 150 yards with a touchdown, while also carrying twice for 20 yards.
It was the exact type of performances that the Rams needed from their superstars to help prove they are very much still threats in the NFC playoff picture.
