Washington Commanders quarterback Jayden Daniels has taken a “good step” in recovery from his elbow injury ahead of a Week 4 matchup in London, head coach Dan Quinn told reporters Wednesday.
Quinn said the Commanders had not yet ruled out Daniels for Sunday’s game ahead of his limited participation in Wednesday’s “jog-through” practice.
“As we’re working through the week, he’ll get more reps… As we get into Thursday and Friday, we’ll see what that load looks like,” Quinn said. “And then by Friday we’ll have a definite determination of where we’re at.”
Quinn continued, “We’re not going to put him out there before he’s ready, so that’s why it’s important for us to trust the process as we’re going. But him being back on the field is like, man, that’s a good step for us.”
ESPN’s John Keim shared videos of Daniels throwing with a brace on his left arm.
The Commanders are preparing for a 9:30 a.m. ET kickoff this Sunday against the Indianapolis Colts in London.
