Each week, Yardbarker previews prime-time NFL games on Thursday, Sunday and Monday nights, predicting the result of each. Here are our Week 9 picks.
The Ravens’ quarterback luck has gone from bad to worse. Starting QB Lamar Jackson (thumb) is heading to injured reserve, while QB Tyler Huntley (turf toe) is reportedly out for the rest of the season. With both QBs injured, undrafted rookie Joe Fagnano is set to make his first start. Fagnano filled in during a 36-10 Week 8 loss to the Buffalo Bills, completing 10-of-21 passes for 91 yards and tossing one interception.
The Ravens added Austin Reed and Kedon Slovis to provide additional QB insurance. Neither is a much better option than Fagnano.
Per Doug Clawson of CBS Sports, running back Derrick Henry has more career touchdown passes (four) than Baltimore’s QBs, all of whom have zero. Perhaps the Ravens should consider lining up Henry in the wildcat more against the Jaguars.
