Marshall Manning, the son of NFL legend Peyton Manning, was back in action for Baylor School on Friday.
The high school freshman currently serves as the team’s backup quarterback, but entered a game against McCallie after it turned into a blowout.
With his dad watching, the younger Manning helped lead Baylor on a touchdown drive in the second half of the contest.
The class of 2030 signal-caller previously missed time this season due to a foot injury.
On Friday, Manning finished 3-of-4 for 35 yards (h/t USA Today’s Joseph Spears).
Baylor took a 21-0 lead at the end of the first quarter and never looked back, cruising to a 49-7 win. With the victory, the team now owns a perfect 7-0 record.
While Manning serves as a depth option behind starting passer Keegan Croucher, he’s seen action on multiple occasions this season.
Croucher is a 4-star prospect who’s listed as the No. 11 quarterback in the 2027 recruiting class, per 247Sports’ composite rankings. He’s currently playing out his final high school season, as he’s committed to Ole Miss.
As Manning prepares to take over the starting job for his high school squad next season, he gained some valuable experience against one of the team’s top rivals on Friday.
