Despite going through a major coaching staff overhaul, the Baltimore Ravens are still considered a driving force in the AFC.

That’s why losing one of their most impactful players would’ve been a bit of a catastrophe for Jesse Minter. The fans sounded the alarms after reports of Derrick Henry leaving OTAs with an apparent knee injury, though it later turned out he was fine.

When asked about that, the former Tennessee Titans RB confirmed that it was just a scare after banging knees with a teammate, and even cracked some jokes about that.

Derrick Henry isn’t worried about his knee injury

“I laid on the ground a little bit. The ground felt like a bed for a little while,” Henry told the Ravens’ official website. “And I saw you all looked hot and bored, so I was like, ‘I’ve got to give them something to tweet and write.'”

Henry is entering his 11th year in the pros, and while he’s already proved he’s not built like the average human being, running backs tend to fall from grace faster than other skill players, given the wear and tear they endure on every drive.

He’s coming off a down year by his standards, turning 307 carries into “only” 1,595 yards with 16 touchdowns, adding 15 catches for 150 yards. That’s the type of otherworldly standard Henry has set, as those would be career years for most running backs.

The Ravens still have some things to take care of before the start of the season, including Lamar Jackson’s impending contract extension. That said, it doesn’t seem Henry’s health will be a concern for Minter’s team.
