Real Salt Lake has apologized to Kealia Ohai Watt and J.J. Watt after Ohai Watt was not recognized in a social media post on Wednesday.
On Wednesday, the Watt family arrived in Salt Lake City to watch Burnley FC take on Real Salt Lake in a friendly. The Watts are minority investors in the EFL Championship side.
Real Salt Lake made a post recognizing JJ Watt, a former star NFL edge-rusher and three-time Defensive Player of the Year who is headed to the Pro Football Hall of Fame someday, and family.
In the picture, Watt was seen walking hand-in-hand with Kealia and their eldest son, Koa James Watt.

Kealia Ohai Watt, who was born and raised in Utah, is a much-accomplished athlete. Her accolades including eight NWSL seasons with 35 goals, including a career-high 11 in 2016 and three appearances for the U.S. women’s national team. In her first one, Ohai Watt set a record for the fastest goal in a debut match (48 seconds) in a friendly vs. Switzerland. She also won the 2012 NCAA championship with UNC and was named the tournament’s most outstanding offensive player.
She also starred in Utah as a high school athlete before going onto UNC, with accolades including three-time first-team high school All-America honors and a 2010 NSCAA National High School Player of the Year recognition.
