The Seattle Seahawks are finally being sold, and the price will set a new record for a sports franchise.

A group led by San Francisco 49ers limited partner Vinod Khosla has reached an agreement to purchase the Seahawks, according to ESPN’s Adam Schefter and Seth Wickersham.

The reported purchase price is $9.6 billion.

The Seahawks have been controlled by a trust since the previous owner, Paul Allen, died in 2018. They were finally put up for sale in February, shortly after the team won the Super Bowl.
