Elly De La Cruz took the time to care for a fallen fowl during Sunday’s game against the Milwaukee Brewers, and he was later rewarded with some good karma.
The Cincinnati Reds star carried an injured bird off the field during the top of the fourth inning. In the bottom of the fourth, De La Cruz hit a two-run homer.
The Reds went on to win the game 12-8, and De La Cruz’s heroics might have inspired the strong effort.
