Jazz Chisholm Jr. had the game-winning homer during Sunday’s 2-1 win over the New York Yankees, and the star infielder clearly felt like such a moment was overdue, telling reporters after the game that he’s “sucked all season.”
The 28-year-old came into Sunday hitting .224 with 14 homers, 38 RBI, 49 runs, 26 stolen bases and a .705 OPS. It’s been a disappointment after he was a revelation for the Yankees in the 2025 campaign (31 homers, 80 RBI, 31 steals, .813 OPS).
Perhaps Sunday’s huge homer will help turn the tide on his season.
