The Minnesota Vikings had only two quarterbacks on the 53-man roster after they traded JJ McCarthy to the New York Giants on Monday.
On Tuesday, the Vikings fixed that by moving Max Brosmer from the practice squad to the active roster. That means Brosmer can dress as the emergency QB behind Kyler Murray and Carson Wentz.
Brosmer made two starts in 2025 as McCarthy dealt with an injury. However, the undrafted QB out of Minnesota threw four interceptions in the game against the Seattle Seahawks at the end of November.
It was Brosmer’s first career NFL start, though facing the Super Bowl champions certainly wasn’t easy.
