New York Knicks guard Tyler Kolek is testing out his recognizability after police briefly tried to stop him from celebrating at his team’s championship parade.
Kolek walked around Fanatics Fest this week in New York as part of a promotion for DICK’s, which gave away prizes to any fan who recognized him.
A video of police trying to stop Kolek from crossing Manhattan parade barriers went viral last month as the Knicks celebrated winning the 2026 final over the San Antonio Spurs.
Kolek is signed through next season and holds a 2027-28 team option with the Knicks.
He appeared in 62 regular-season matchups last season, then played in eight postseason games during the Knicks’ run to the 2026 title.
