The theme of the Green Bay Packers receiving core dealing with injuries has continued almost halfway into the 2026-27 season.

That continued on Thursday night against the Carolina Panthers when star receiver Christian Watson left the game after making a big play and his status for the coming weeks is now up in the air.

Christian Watson left Thursday’s game, was transported to local hospital

After hauling in a 53-yard reception on Thursday, Watson left the game with a chest injury.  Not only did Watson head back to the locker room area, but the broadcast capture him climbing into an ambulance and being transported to a local hospital.

According to sideline reporter Kaylee Hartung, Watson being transported to the hospital was for precautionary reasons, as chest injuries are something to always closely monitor.
